Roy Dripps

Roy Dripps obtained his law degree from St. Louis University in 1981 and has been a leading member of the Madison County legal community ever since. Dripps has obtained millions in verdicts and settlements for people injured by barge companies and other corporations. In 2001, Dripps obtained a unanimous decision from the United States Supreme Court holding that injured seamen can have their cases heard in state courts. In 2003, Dripps obtained a $7,500,000 verdict for a deckhand who was permanently paralyzed from the waist down when a crane failed and a barge cover hit him. Dripps also obtained an $8.4 million verdict for a client who lost a leg as a result of a defective nail gun and ultimately collected $9.9 million when the verdict was affirmed on appeal, with interest.
