Scott B. Ainsworth

Scott B. Ainsworth has practiced law in Decatur, Indiana, his hometown, for over 30 years, and has worked hard to gain the respect of his clients and fellow attorneys by providing quality and efficiency in his practice. His personal areas of practice are in business representation (large and small), corporate/entity formation, real estate/title insurance, wills/trusts/probate/estate planning, contracts, school law, and general legal matters. Scott is a 1981 graduate of Bellmont High School, graduated, with High Distinction from Indiana University, Bloomington, in December 1984, with a B.A. in Economics, and received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington (now the Maurer School of Law) in May 1988, graduating in the top ten in his class, Magna Cum Laude, and Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Adams County and Indiana Bar Associations. He has been with this firm for his entire legal career. Throughout his career, Scott has had varied experiences, representing nationally active RV manufacturing /transportation entities, multi-state heavy construction companies, regional real estate developers, builders and construction companies, local businesses, a public school system, or just people/families down the street. He has always tried to focus on one thing; getting the job done for his client in the most effective and efficient manner possible. He is also a former member on the Board of law examiners, the entity which prepares and administers the Indiana Bar exam and character and fitness determinations for new attorneys in Indiana. Scott also is on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of Junior Achievement. Returning to his hometown was always a priority for Scott, and he has been being active in the community. He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, has been on the Board of Directors for the Decatur Public Library, the Adams County United Way, the Cross Creek Men's Golf Association and the Decatur Men's Golf Hall of Fame, and has been involved in coaching youth/school basketball teams, among his many local activities.
