Taryn R. Dissett

Taryn Dissett originally joined our firm in 2020 as a summer intern while in law school. During her time in law school, Taryn earned a specialty in the area of Business and Transactional Law and became a Certified Family Law Mediator with the Indiana Bar Association. She was also honored by the Jackson County Bar Association in 2021 for her dedication to her pro bono work with the Georgia Innocence Project and in the low-income Elder Law Clinic at SIU Law. Since joining the firm as an attorney, Taryn has focused her practice in the areas of civil litigation, insurance disputes, employment law, and contract litigation, specifically non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. Taryn also enjoys helping her clients plan for their futures by drafting individualized trusts, estate plans, powers of attorney, and premarital agreements. Taryn is a top-rated civil litigation attorney and was recently recognized as a 2025 Super Lawyers’ Rising Star. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Indiana receive this distinction. When she is not practicing law, Taryn enjoys traveling the world with her husband, Stephen, and going on hikes with her two dogs, Beau and Cash.
