Rob Walker

Rob is a highly experienced attorney based in Louisville, Kentucky, with a strong background in personal injury litigation, workers compensation, estate planning and probate law. Born and raised in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, Rob pursued his undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government in May 1994. He was active in the Sigma Chi fraternity, serving as its president in 1994. Driven by his ambition to delve deeper into the complexities of legal frameworks, Rob went on to pursue a Juris Doctor degree at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, located in Louisville. There, he continued to excel academically, graduating magna cum laude in May 1997. After earning his Juris Doctor degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1997, where he graduated magna cum laude, Rob embarked on his legal career with a prominent firm in downtown Louisville. With a passion for serving his community and a drive for excellence, Rob honed his skills and gained valuable experience over several years before co-founding his own firm alongside two of his law school classmates. At the new firm, Rob focused on plaintiff’s person injury litigation, workers compensation, estate planning, guiding clients through the intricacies of preparing comprehensive estate plans and navigating probate matters throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He also specialized in helping families protect their assets through strategic Medicaid planning for nursing home benefits. In 2020, the Governor Beshear asked Rob to help lead the Department of Workers’ Claims in Kentucky, the department that adjudicates claims for injured workers. Rob eventual rose to the level of Commissioner of the Department of Workers’ Claims. After serving for two years, Rob returned to private practice as of counsel with the Colyer Law Firm and founded his own firm East End Elder and Probate Law. Currently, Rob is Senior Litigation Attorney for the Colyer Law Firm and still maintains this estate planning and probate practice, East End Elder and Probate Law. At the new firm, Rob focused on plaintiff’s person injury litigation, workers compensation, estate planning, guiding clients through the intricacies of preparing comprehensive estate plans and navigating probate matters throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Outside of his legal practice, Rob is actively involved in his community and is committed to making a positive impact through his work and philanthropic efforts.
