Donald Wayne McKnight

Donald McKnight is a native of Rayville, Louisiana, and has practiced in Lake Charles since 1980. After graduating from LSU law school Don moved to Lake Charles where he married LaDonna Fontenot. Don and LaDonna have three children and two grandchildren. They have been involved in numerous local arts and humanities organizations over the years, including the McNeese Banners Series and the Lake Charles Civic Ballet. Don and LaDonna have also remained involved with the South Lake Charles Little League where they have served in several capacities. After working as a law clerk for the 14th Judicial District Court for a year, he began practicing with Raleigh Newman in 1981. In 1988 Don went into solo practice for four years before returning to practicing with Raleigh Newman. He continued practicing with Mr. Newman prior to joining the law firm of Hoffoss Devall. Don has concentrated his practice on research and writing, handling numerous motions and appeals through out his career.
