James A.H. Corley

James A. H. Corley is a Chief City Solicitor, in the Police Legal Affairs Group of the Baltimore City Department of Law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class. He is an alumni of West Virginia University and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Corley spent 4 years serving in U.S. Army's Presidential Honor Guard unit, "The Old Guard," stationed near Arlington National Cemetary. Mr. Corley primarily handles federal and state civil rights litigation involving the Baltimore Police Department. Prior to joining the City, he worked as a Plaintiff's attorney, handling personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, nursing home negligence, and medical malpractice. He has tried both civil and criminal cases (bench and jury trials) through the State of Maryland, and regularly practices in federal court.
