Carolan Hurley Blackwood

CAROLAN HURLEY BLACKWOOD represents school districts in a wide variety of student related issues including all phases of litigation. Carolan holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Concentration in Human Resources Management from Boston College and graduated from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Lyons Law Group, Carolan worked as an Assistant District Attorney in both Norfolk and Plymouth Counties. Carolan has extensive litigation experience having represented the Commonwealth for over 15 years in the District, Juvenile and Superior Courts. Much of her work involved specialty courts, including Recovery Court, Mental Health Court, and Veteran’s Court. Carolan is a member of the Plymouth District Bar Association and Norfolk Bar Association where she serves as a Council Member. She is on the Board of Directors of Hingham Cares and is a legal mentor for Discovering Justice.
