Daniel M. Surprenant

Daniel M. Surprenant is recognized both nationally and in Massachusetts as an expert in estate planning, with a focus on protecting assets from long-term care costs, estate taxes, and for special needs beneficiaries. He has earned the distinction of Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) from the National Elder Law Foundation and has served as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (Mass NAELA). Since 2014, Boston Magazine has named him to their list of “Super Lawyers” for estate planning. Daniel’s commitment to service began during his formative years, volunteering with the Holy Cross Associates, where he worked in a locked unit for adolescents with psychological and alcohol issues. He also volunteered at Andre House of Oakland, CA, a small homeless shelter and outreach center. He strives to instill a culture of integrity, quality, respect, and service within his law firm. Outside of work, Daniel cherishes spending time with his wife, Kate, and their three children, particularly when sailing around Buzzard’s Bay.
