Elaine F. Gordon

Attorney Elaine Gordon was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1981 and has been in private practice since 1981, first in Boston, MA and then in Worcester, MA. She has focused her practice in the are of Domestic Relations Law and has over 30 years of experience litigating divorce, custody and support actions. Attorney Gordon also defends and litigates domestic violence complaints, cohabitation property disputes and equity complaints arising from family matters. Attorney Gordon represents clients in all phases of family law litigation from the commencement of proceedings through trial and appellate proceedings, including divorce actions, modifications, marriage contracts, paternity actions, adoptions, custody and jurisdictional disputes. Attorney Gordon also serves as a court appointed Hearing Master on family matters. Her appellate work has resulted in decisions of first impression in the Appellate Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Elaine Gordon is a sustaining member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. She is the former Co-Chairman of the Family Law Legislation Practice Group of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is a former member of the Family Law Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Attorney Gordon is certified in family law mediation and is a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, Inc. She also is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Guardians-Ad-Litem, Inc. and serves as a court appointed Guardian-Ad-Litem investigator on custody matters. Attorney Elaine Gordon also participates in mentor programs through the Massachusetts Bar Association and has been an instructor in continuing legal educational courses for the Massachusetts Bar Association. Attorney Elaine Gordon received a B.A. Degree in English from Wheaton College in 1972. She received her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA in 1981 and her LLM Degree from the Graduate Tax Program, Boston University, Boston, MA in 1989.
