Gerald F. Blair

After graduating high school, Gerald Blair attended Suffolk University where he graduated Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. He then entered Suffolk University Law School where he received a Juris Doctorate degree in 1977. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December of 1977. Later he was also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1978, and the United States Court of Appeals (First Circuit) in 1986. Beginning in 1977, Gerald Blair has been practicing law in the field of civil litigation. He practiced with the firm of Avery, Dooley, Post & Avery in Boston, Massachusetts. During his 17 years with Avery, Dooley, Post & Avery, he became a Senior Trial Counsel and worked on complex civil litigation representing manufacturers, contractors, commercial trucking companies, hotel establishments, including Marriott Corporation and Ramada Inn, restaurant operators, including IHOP, premises owners and insurance companies, including State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, SAFECO, California State Automobile Association and United Services Automobile Association ("USAA".) In 1994, Gerald Blair formed the partnership of Beckstein & Blair, which primarily concentrated in complex civil litigation in construction, product liability, toxic tort and premises liability. In 1999, Mr. Blair established The Law Offices of Gerald F. Blair where he continues to protect the rights of injured persons and businesses ranging from automobile accidents, premises accidents, construction accidents, product liability accidents, business claims, wills and trusts, real estate matters, zoning and land use issues.
