Meghan C. Thorp

Attorney Meghan Thorp graduated from Ithaca College in 2004 cum laude and went on to receive her J.D. from New England School of Law (now New England Law Boston) in 2007. During law school, Ms. Thorp also interned at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in the Children and Family Law Program and at a well-known Metrowest law firm, where she focused on family law and practiced for over six years after graduating from law school. In 2013, Ms. Thorp joined Baskin & Associates, LLC, which became Baskin Kershner & Thorp, LLC in 2019, where she represents clients in all areas of family law. Ms. Thorp also provides mediation and conciliation services as an alternative to litigation. Ms. Thorp is a certified Guardian ad Litem. She has been appointed by the Probate and Family Court to serve as Guardian ad Litem, Special Purpose Guardian ad Litem, and Discovery Master. She authored the article "Understanding the Patient-Psychotherapist Privilege," which was published in the Boston Bar Association's Winter 2019 Family Law Newsletter and has co- chaired and served on panels of various CLE programs. Ms. Thorp is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is a member of the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inn of Court, Boston Bar Association, Greater Boston Family Law Inn of Court, Massachusetts Bar Association, and Women's Bar Association. Ms. Thorp was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2020-2022 and a Super Lawyer in 2024 and 2025.
