Tom Greene

Mr. Greene's practice focuses on the design and implementation of executive compensation arrangements and employee benefit plans, including stock and equity incentive plans, bonus and incentive programs, deferred compensation plans and SERPs, and severance and executive employment agreements. He also provides compliance advice on self-insured and insured group health plans (including with respect to the ACA and HIPAA), tax-qualified retirement plans and welfare benefits arrangements. Mr. Greene has developed a particular expertise in representing executives and management teams in high-stakes negotiations and transactions. His practice also includes advising on matters arising in mergers and acquisitions, including those related to Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code, investment stock options, plan terminations, and benefits due-diligence issues for buyers, sellers, and management teams. Mr. Greene is listed by Chambers USA as one of "America's Leading Lawyers for Business" in the area of Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. He has also been consistently recognized by "Best Lawyers in America" for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law and previously served as the Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association ERISA Committee. Mr. Greene received an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center with a certificate in employee benefits law with distinction, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a B.A. from University of Massachusetts Boston.
