Ray M. Toma has been in the real estate and construction industries his entire professional life. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, in Construction Engineering, at Lawrence Technological University. Ray then went to work as a Project Engineer for the Barton Malow Company, one of the largest construction contractors and project managers in north America. Later, he did design work - as a civil engineer - at BEI Associates in Detroit. Ray is a licensed residential builder and has bought, sold and developed real estate. After graduating from the Detroit College of Law, Ray joined a Detroit law firm. His practice focused on construction disputes mainly involving large suppliers. All that experience made it quite natural that, when Ray founded Ray M. Toma, PC in 1995, the firm's focus would be on the specific legal needs of the real estate and construction industries.
