James T. Clark

James has hiked the Adirondacks and other peaks, using a compass, a map and his sense of direction to reach each summit. Knowing how to navigate trails and find the paths that lead to the top make James an adept guide not only in mountain climbing, but also in mapping out the complex maze of the governmental process for his clients. James' experience-in the courtroom as a prosecutor, in the committee room as a legislator, and in the classroom as an adjunct professor of American Government-ensures he knows the law and government from a variety of perspectives. It's through this experience and the use of his navigational skills that he leads his clients to results. James' legislative practice focuses on transportation, civil law, healthcare, major building projects and tax issues. James led Messerli & Kramer's efforts on the Cedar Avenue Busway and the Children's Theatre Company expansion. His clients include national and regional businesses including CVS/Caremark, Altria Corporate Services and Honeywell, as well as associations including the Suburban Transit Association.
