Luis A. Moreno

Luis is a criminal defense attorney in southern Minnesota who is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients facing criminal charges. He represents individuals throughout Minnesota in cases involving drug possession, DWI and alcohol-related offenses, traffic violations, and other misdemeanor and felony charges. Before entering private practice, he served as a public defender in Douglas County, Alexandria, Minnesota, where he gained extensive courtroom experience representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters. That role gave him valuable insight into how prosecutors prepare cases, a perspective he now uses to build effective defense strategies for his clients. Luis currently serves in the Minnesota Army National Guard and previously served in the U.S. Navy, where he deployed on the U.S.S. Kearsarge during the Kosovo conflict in 2001 and later to Kuwait during the 2003 Global War on Terrorism. This experience gives him a unique ability to relate to veterans who are facing criminal charges, as he understands firsthand the pressures and challenges of military life.
