Christie R. Deaton

Christie Deaton joined Schuchat, Cook & Werner in May 2016 and her practice focuses on representing injured employees in workers’ compensation claims. She graduated from the School of Law at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2001. After graduation, she spent almost 13 years handling mass torts and class action cases, representing clients who were victims of consumer fraud or environmental contamination and practiced appellate law in the Illinois state district courts. Christie was on a team of finalists for the 2013 Public Justice Trial Lawyer of the Year award, and award given to attorneys working on behalf of individuals or groups who have suffered injustice or harmful abuse. Christie is a member of the Bar Association of St. Louis (BAMSL), the Illinois Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to the bar in Missouri and Illinois.
