Jennifer J. Dougan

Jennifer Dougan has lived in the Northland her entire life and welcomes the chance to give back to her community. The Northland community voted Jennifer's law firm "Best of the Northland" in 2011. Jennifer has a wealth of experience outside of the legal field., which has given her a clear understanding of the need for superior customer service. Prior to attending law school, she was a division manager of a company that performed utility maintenance and construction contracting services for local utilities and municipalities. Additionally, she worked for the federal government for approximately five years. These experiences combined allow her to understand issues from a client's perspective. She prides herself on her ability to provide the type of customer service that her clients deserve. Jennifer graduated summa cum laude, with a Bachelor's of Public Administration, from Park University located in Parkville, Missouri. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law. While in law school she clerked for the Clay County Prosecutor's Office, Commissioner Sherrill Rosen in Jackson County, and a local Northland attorney. Jennifer was the vice president of the Association of Women Law Students and co-president of the Family Law Society. She also participated in the Family and Child Services Clinic which allowed her to appear before the court as a student attorney (Rule 13) on multiple cases. Jennifer is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, The Missouri Bar Association, The Clay County Bar Association and the Platte County Bar Association.
