
About Marc G. Buyske LL.M.
Law Practice As the District Judge for the Montana Ninth Judicial District Court from 1994 through 2006, Mr. Buyske conducted hearings and trials in hundreds of civil and criminal cases, and issued decisions on a wide range of disputes including water law, oil and gas, land use and access, and constitutional issues. In 2007 Mr. Buyske joined the firm in Helena. Prior to his judicial service, he practiced as an associate and partner with the Libby, Montana, law firm of Sverdrup and Buyske, and then as an associate and partner with the Shelby, Montana, firm of Anderson, Beatty and Buyske. He obtained his LL.M. in Taxation in 1982, and while in north central Montana provided tax and business planning advice to farmers, ranchers, oil and gas producers, and small business owners. Mr. Buyske represented such clients before tax and other administrative agencies. Mr. Buyske enjoys fly fishing and the family activities that six children, their spouses and children will produce.
