Monte J. Morris

Monte J. Morris has practiced law in Nevada for 45 years and practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate, family law, criminal defense, administrative law, landlord/tenant, civil litigation and appellate law. Mr. Morris was awarded his J.D. from the University of Utah in 1964 and is licensed in Nevada and Utah. Between 1965 and 1976, Monte served as a Deputy District Attorney for Clark County and as City Attorney for the City of Henderson and Boulder City. Thereafter, he pursued private practice as a trial attorney until 2000. Mr. Morris has practiced extensively in all courts in the State, including numerous appearances before the Nevada Supreme Court and Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2000, he and his wife, Madeline, took leave to serve a Humanitarian Mission in Indonesia where he taught English at Pacuan University and lectured by invitation on American Jurisprudence to the Indonesian Supreme Court. Monte has been active in the Boy Scouts of America. The Morrises reside in Boulder City and are the proud parents of eight and grandparents of thirty-two and counting.
