Paul Michaelson

Paul R. Michaelson is an accomplished attorney with over four decades of experience in estate planning, real estate law, and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions. He founded Michaelson Law in 1992 to provide tailored legal solutions to individuals and businesses, building on his extensive knowledge and dedication to excellence. His deep understanding of business and estate law is complemented by his expertise in securities law, gained during nearly five years as Director of Securities Registration & Licensing for the Nevada Securities Division (1987–1992). While at the Division, Paul played a key role in drafting the Nevada Administrative Code on securities laws and regulating investment activity in the state. His leadership extended to national efforts, where he served on committees with the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) and contributed to the development of the Small Corporate Offering Registration (SCOR) program to support small business capital formation. A frequent lecturer, he has presented at numerous seminars on capital formation, corporate law, and estate planning. Paul also served as Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the UNLV Small Business Development Center and is currently the President of Friends in the Desert, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding the homeless. Paul is a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps. He was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Paul and his wife, Anne, have been happily married for over 50 years. Together, they have six children and are proud grandparents to 30 grandchildren.
