About Madeline Christie Hutchings

Madeline focuses her practice on psychological issues in law, tax-exempt organizations, and estate planning. With advanced training and clinical experience in mental health care, Madeline brings a nuanced and practice-informed approach to her work with mental health care providers. She has been privileged to serve area nonprofits whose work is focused on post-incarceration reentry and substance use disorders – experience that has brought her into close contact with the legal, clinical, and policy issues unique to New Hampshire. Madeline is a practiced advisor of not-for-profit, charitable, and religious institutions. She counsels these organizations on a variety of issues including formation, attainment of tax exemption, governance, donor-restricted funds, merger, dissolution, and various other corporate matters. As a member of the firm’s Estate Planning and Family Law practice group, Madeline also counsels clients by drafting estate plans that satisfy their personal and financial objectives, as well as by providing the legal documents that give clients peace of mind over the future management of their healthcare or business affairs.
