Although a Defendant is never entitled to a jury trial, In certain situations, plea bargaining is now permitted in New Jersey. New York laws are completely different and there can be multiple legal implications for certain offenses with carry over from each State. Plea bargaining in certain alcohol and drug related driving offenses is now permitted in New Jersey.
