Omid S. Irani

Omid S. Irani specializes in the practice of criminal law and is skilled at handling all phases of a criminal case from investigation and arrest through trial. He represents individuals in New Jersey Municipal, Superior and Appellate courts, as well as New York State in matters involving sex crimes, drug charges, firearm possession, assault, and theft offenses. Additionally, Mr. Irani has successfully advocated for numerous clients at Final Restraining Order hearings. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Irani served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sohail Mohammed, P.J.Cr. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic Vicinage. Mr. Irani is the President-Elect of the Young Lawyers Division of the Bergen County Bar Association. He also co-chairs various committees and regularly presents continuing legal education programs. Moreover, Mr. Irani is the Chairman of the Iranian American Bar Association Foundation and serves on the Executive Board of the Iranian American Bar Association. Mr. Irani received his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a published member of the Seton Hall Law Legislative Journal. He is a member of its G.O.L.D. alumni committee which aims to foster networking, camaraderie and connections among recent graduates. Mr. Irani received a B.A. in Political Science with a double minor in History and Middle Eastern studies from Seton Hall University, the first student in the school’s history to ever graduate with such a degree. Mr. Irani also serves in an appointed capacity in local government and participates in many volunteer, charity and outreach efforts for different community organizations. Mr. Irani volunteers annually as a judge for the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Vincent J. Apruzzese High School Mock Trial Competition and the Princeton University Moot Court Competition.
