I was born in Santa Fe, in a one-bedroom house behind Kaune’s grocery store, just blocks from the capitol. My mother was a middle school teacher, and my father was a construction worker. She taught me the value of working hard and never forgetting that people make a community, not businesses. It’s this background that has pushed me to work representing everyday people against large insurance companies. Thanks to my mother’s work, I had the opportunity to live across the US, as well as in Ecuador and Pakistan. Upon returning to the US, I attended Vassar College, where I graduated with honors. After graduation, I worked as a computer programmer for a number of years in Wisconsin, before deciding that I wanted a job where I could work directly with people on a day to day basis. When I decided to go to law school, there was no question that it was time to come home. I returned to New Mexico and attended UNM School of Law where I graduated summa cum laude. During law school, I worked on the New Mexico Law Review, served as a research assistant on two articles that were eventually published, externed with a federal judge, and participated in a moot court team that got to debate at a national competition in Los Angeles. Beyond these academic achievements, however, what brought me the most satisfaction in school was getting to offer free legal assistance to local non-profit serving women experiencing homelessness as part of UNM’s clinical program. I am proud to be a part of the Parnall Law Firm, LLC, helping to advocate zealously on behalf of my clients when they’ve been hurt. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and going to the Bio Park with my wife.
