About Alexander Paykin
Alexander Paykin, Esq. is a seasoned business and real estate attorney, legal technologist, and respected public speaker based in New York City. With over 15 years of legal experience and a unique background in technology and entrepreneurship, Mr. Paykin is the sole owner and managing director of Paykin Law—a high-tech client-centered law firm, focusing on delivering efficient services in litigation and complex transactions relating to business/commerce, finance, and real estate. Born in the Soviet Union and immigrating to the U.S. in 1989, Paykin’s early life instilled in him resilience and entrepreneurial drive. He earned his B.S. in Computer Information Systems from SUNY Stony Brook and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and known for blending legal acumen with tech-savvy innovation to help businesses and property owners navigate high-stakes legal and regulatory environments. Beyond legal practice, Mr. Paykin is a serial entrepreneur. He runs a boutique holdings and management company, The Paykin Group, which provides consulting services to other law firms on efficiency and technology implementation, along with a real estate brokerage, City Flats NYC, which specializes in luxury real estate transfers and management. To give back to the profession, Mr. Paykin presently serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Technology and the Legal Profession of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), is a member of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) TechShow Board, serves on the ABA’s Legal Technology Resource Center, the Technology & Resource Center of ABA GPSolo, the Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) Committee, the Law Practice Management Committee (NYSBA) the Ethics and Professionalism Committee (ABA), the Law Firm Finance Committee (ABA), the Business Development Committee (ABA), the Real Estate, Condemnation and Trust Litigation Committee (ABA) and the Committee on Law, Youth and Citizenship (where he is also on the High School Mock Trial Subcommittee). Outside of his professional work, Alexander is deeply committed to community service, philanthropy, and civic leadership.Mr. Paykin is President of Brighter Tomorrows Inc., a domestic violence shelter network serving the greater Long Island community and providing both emergency shelters as well as long term housing solutions, coupled with assistance with employment, counseling and legal services. A dedicated Rotarian and a two-time past president of his club, he now supports district programs, including “Rotary Means Business” and helps fund projects worldwide as a Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, and a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation. Mr. Paykin formerly served on the board of General Needs, Ltd., a non-profit organization supporting homeless veterans, coached the Ezra Academy High School Mock Trial Team, supported international youth exchange programs through Rotary and was a founding board member and President of Safe Halls Project, Inc., which promoted school safety improvements.
