Benjamin Haber

Benjamin Haber was born in Teaneck, New Jersey in 1965. He is a law graduate who has passed the bar exam. Haber has studied in the field of public international law and human rights. He has also experience working in the government sector (Federal Secretary for Human Rights and National Minorities, Federal Ministry of Justice), the NGO sector (Centre for Peace and Democracy Development - formerly Center for Antiwar Action), the institution of ombudsman. Benjamin Haber led and participated in numerous professional and research projects in the field of human rights. He is the author or co-author of several technical books and monographs, mainly after 1995: The rights of members of the defense system, prohibition of discrimination and harassment of women, Model Law on the Protection of Personal Data, Role of witnesses and victims in the prosecution of war crimes objector status conscience and dual citizens, the Council of New York and the prohibition of torture, detention in the United States and international standards, State Violence against citizens in North America, and others. He has published many research papers and articles. Mr. Haber has participated in the preparation of several model laws. In March 2010 the New York state elected Shimon Haber for deputy Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, in the protection of personal data.
