
About Eric M. Holzer
Mr. Holzer received his Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics with a Minor in History from the State University of New York at Albany in 2004. While in college Mr. Holzer was a Division 1 athlete playing on both the lacrosse and football teams. Mr. Holzer received his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 2007. After graduating from law school Mr. Holzer worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Rockland County District Attorney's Office. During his time in the Rockland County District Attorneys Office, Mr. Holzer prosecuted crimes ranging from minor offenses to serious violent felonies. Mr. Holzer presented over 100 cases to the grand jury, was involved in complex criminal investigations with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, and conducted many hearings, bench trials and jury trials. Due to his work as an Assistant District Attorney he received numerous Law Enforcement and Civilian Achievement Awards from various law enforcement agencies and organizations. Mr. Holzer also received the Rockland County's 40 Under 40 Award from Rockland Economic Development Corporation in 2012. Since leaving the Rockland County District Attorney Office, Mr. Holzer had focused his practice exclusively in the area of matrimonial and family law, while still utilizing his specialty of criminal law in his representation of clients in situations involving domestic violence. Mr. Holzer uses the skills he has complied throughout his academic, athletic and legal careers to guide his clients through the legal process, to diligently advocate for their interests and to zealously represent them should litigation become necessary. Mr. Holzer has also authored materials for Continuing Legal Education courses for the New York State Bar Association on various topics related to matrimonial and family law.
