Gregory Calliste Jr.

Gregory Calliste, Jr. is an employment discrimination attorney with 13 years of experience with criminal, civil, and employment law matters, at the federal, state and administrative levels. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, Federal District Courts in the State of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In 1998, Mr. Calliste graduated from the State University of New York at Old Westbury with a B.S.in Applied Business Systems & Management, and in 2003, he graduated from New York Law School. While in law school, Mr. Calliste was an associate at a New York City firm working in multiple practice areas and volunteering support to victims of the World Trade Center bombing. Mr. Calliste worked for a New York firm as a senior associate from 2004-2016, where he successfully represented labor unions and union members in employment-related matters. He was awarded the Public Interest Attorney of the Year award from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in 2010. Mr. Calliste has been involved in over 100 trials throughout his career, many of which resulted in successful verdicts and large settlements including a $7.7 million verdict in wrongful death and civil rights lawsuit, and a $4.7 million verdict in a lawsuit involving repeated racially motivated and discriminatory verbal assaults and a physical assault on a Yemeni-American employee by an African-American coworker.
