Ismael "Mel" M. Jose

ISMAEL JOSE is the senior real estate attorney in the firm. He has successfully closed hundreds of real estate deals, predominantly representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries of trusts and estates in sales and buyouts of residential and commercial properties. In addition to real estate transactions, Mr. Jose provides counsel in various areas of the firm’s practice, including Estate Planning (Wills, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies), Asset Protection (Trusts and LLCs), Tax (Capital Gains Tax and 1031 Exchange), and Litigation and Dispute Settlement (Real Property Actions such as partitions and actions to quiet title). With over 18 years of legal experience, Mr. Jose, is able to help clients navigate diverse legal issues, offering intelligent, compassionate and cost-effective solutions, ultimately delivering favorable results. Before joining Connors & Sullivan, Mr. Jose handled multi-million-dollar litigation and complex transactions for international clients. He also served as a part-time professor at San Beda University. Mr. Jose volunteers and currently serves as officer in a church-based Filipino-American association in New Jersey. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, and occasionally plays the guitar.
