Kevin Michael Colwell

In 2005, Kevin Colwell, along with his partners, founded Colwell, Colwell & Petroccione, LLP to assist individuals and families navigating divorce and child custody disputes, aiming to help them find better lives. In January 2016, the firm was renamed The Colwell Law Group, LLC. After graduating from law school in 1997, Mr. Colwell briefly served as Assistant Counsel in the Columbia County Public Defender’s Office, representing criminal defendants, and in the Columbia County Department of Social Services, prosecuting abuse and neglect proceedings on behalf of the County. In 2000, he continued his career as an Associate at the Albany law firm Roland, Fogel, Koblenz & Petroccione, LLP. Following the dissolution of Roland, Fogel, Koblenz & Petroccione, LLP in 2005, Mr. Colwell partnered with Emilio Petroccione to establish what would become The Colwell Law Group, LLC. His wife, Mary Colwell, joined the firm as an owner in 2008. Kevin Colwell recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service to his clients and community.
