Lawrence B. LaRaus

Lawrence graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in May 1986. He was admitted to the New York Bar in January 1987. Since 1990, after serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Bronx County, Lawrence has concentrated his practice in the area of matrimonial law. From 1990 to 1992, Lawrence served as a senior associate with the firm of Pobiner, London, Bashian & Buonamici, a Westchester litigation firm concentrating in the area of matrimonial and family practice. From 1992 to 1998, Lawrence was a partner in the firm of Bertan & LaRaus. He then became a partner in the firm of Buonamici & LaRaus, LLP. Lawrence has been responsible for and has extensive experience in preparing motion papers, memorandum of law and appellate briefs in courts of this State, including the Appellate Division, First Department and Second Department. He has also conducted trials and hearings both in the Supreme Court and the Family Court of the State of New York. Lawrence has been a member and active participant in the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section and the Westchester County Bar Association, Family Law Section. He has been a contributing author to the Domestic Relations Law Review of the Westchester County Bar Association's Family Law Section. Lawrence is also an active member of the Association of Collaborative Lawyers for Rockland/Westchester. He is also a past member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section, Westchester County Bar Association.
