Michele R. Levin

Michele Levin graduated Cum Laude from Binghamton University in 1993 and Hofstra University School of Law where she was a member of the Labor Law Journal and graduated with Dean’s List distinction in 1996. She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Ms. Levin is a skilled litigator whose practice is concentrated in the defense of complex litigation matters and professional liability claims. She serves as defense counsel for physicians, podiatrists, optometrists, and other medical providers; health care facilities, nursing homes, and home health care agencies. She also serves as lead counsel for national medical providers in multi-district litigation matters. Known for her attention to detail and her commitment to her clients, Ms. Levin’s record of success in her twenty years of practice is unparalleled. She has excelled in obtaining both pre-trial dismissals, favorable jury verdicts, and appellate division decisions. Based on her experience, she is able to counsel her health care clients in a wide range of risk management areas and strategies. Martindale Hubbell has rated her AV Preeminent, which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and Hofstra University School of Law awarded her the Outstanding Women in Law Award in 2017. She has authored professional articles and given lectures related to professional liability risk management and defense.
