Samuel B. Mayer

Sam Mayer has over thirty-five years of legal experience, handling complex commercial, securities, intellectual property and insurance coverage litigation, as well as corporate acquisitions and divestitures, real estate transactions and business counseling. Drawing on this breadth of general practice experience, Sam has developed an active practice representing insurance companies and brokers on regulatory transactions and disputes, formation and registration of multi-state programs for risk purchasing groups, administrative and regulatory review of insurance business and practices, and in negotiating with state insurance departments on state-specific regulatory requirements relating to property and casualty insurance. Sam also has experience in insurance coverage and defense work for various types of professional liability matters. He has handled coverage litigation related to financial products and financial institutions insurance and defended attorney professional liability claims. Sam has also handled litigation of patent and trademark infringement and licensing claims, along with some real estate and contract matters as part of a general practice.
