About Scott Migden
SCOTT E. MIGDEN, Associate, is a graduate of The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. While at Hofstra, he was a member of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association and competed in seven interscholastic trial advocacy competitions across the country. He was a staff editor on the Family Court Review, and had his Note published in April of 2017, on the topic of raising Youthful Offender Eligibility. In addition to previously interning for our office, he interned with the Hofstra University School of Law Criminal Justice Clinic and the Legal Aid Society, Bronx Criminal Trial Office. Mr. Migden is admitted to practice before all Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York State. While Mr. Migden is only twenty-eight [28] years old, he has proven himself time and time again as a strong advocate, who is quick on his feet, and not afraid to have his voice be heard on behalf of our clients. Mr. Migden is known to be kind, full of energy, both analytical and creative, as well as have exceptional interpersonal skills. Throughout his internships and experience practicing law, he has accumulated a tremendous amount of experience, in and out of court, and has been working on homicide and other felony cases since he was twenty-two [22] years old. While a strong advocate now, he was not always this way. At 18-months old, he was diagnosed with a bilateral sensory-neural hearing impairment. As a child with a disability, he is no stranger to the many hardships and challenges a disadvantaged individual may face. Before he was old enough to have a voice, he relied on other people to advocate for him. As time went on, he learned to take on the role to advocate for himself and became his own voice. He has successfully learned how to face and overcome the challenges a disadvantaged person faces. When he is not working, he likes to spend time with his family, which includes two dogs, binge watch television shows, graphic design, and play sports such as basketball, softball or tennis. Mr. Migden is also a lifelong resident of New York, who was born and raised on Long Island.
