Kristy J. Jackson

Kristy was born and raised in Goldsboro. She attended Rosewood High School prior to graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, NC. Kristy received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time at UNC, she worked with PlayMakers Repertory Company and studied abroad at the University of Sussex in Brighton, United Kingdom. After college, Kristy taught Algebra and Pre-Algebra at Goldsboro High School before leaving for law school. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2007, where she was the Symposium Editor for the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice. After law school, Kristy returned to North Carolina to begin her legal career. Prior to joining Everett, Womble & Lawrence, she spent seven years in private practice in Wilmington, with a focus on Family Law. Kristy has argued cases in Civil and Superior Court as well as at the North Carolina Court of Appeals
