Shannon R. Aldous

Shannon grew up in Southwest Florida and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1998. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2002, where she was a member of the Moot Court team. Shannon has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2002 and began her practice of law in Orlando, Florida, handling workers compensation claims and social security disability claims on behalf of the injured. In 2003, Shannon began working for Conroy, Simberg, Ganon, Krevans & Abel, P.A., one of the largest insurance defense firms in the State of Florida. She was an Associate for the firm, concentrating in workers compensation defense for three years, before she and her husband moved to Boone, North Carolina. Shannon has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 2007. In Boone, Shannon began practicing almost exclusively in the field of criminal defense and in January 2009, Shannon opened up her own law firm, regularly handling traffic matters and all types of criminal defense in District and Superior Court in both Watauga and Avery Counties. In 2015, Shannon became the District Bar President for 24th Judicial District, covering Watauga, Avery, Madison, Mitchell and Yancy Counties. Shannon and her family now live in Charlotte, where she has moved her practice and looks forward to serving the legal needs of those in Mecklenburg County and the surrounding areas. She is currently a member of both the North Carolina State Bar and the Florida State Bar. Shannon is an experienced defense attorney who understands the traumatic nature of being charged with any crime and is dedicated to handling every case from the initial consultation through the resolution with compassion and integrity.
