Stephen J. Hilfer

Stephen first worked at Ohnstad Twichell as a law clerk during the summer of 2020, during which he had the opportunity to work in a variety of practice areas. He joined as an Associate Attorney in September 2021. Stephen now primarily focuses his practice in civil litigation (primarily eminent domain), but he also does significant work in water law and natural resources law.Stephen obtained a B.A. in English from Stanford University and graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. Having grown up in rural Minnesota, he loves to spend time outdoors, especially on the lake during the summer. Stephen also enjoys sports (particularly tennis), reading, music, films & TV, and most of all, spending quality time with friends and family, including his husband, Patrick, and dog, Bagheera.
