Michael Schroth

Michael T. Schroth focuses his legal practice in the areas of employment law, estate planning and probate law, business law, and real estate law. During his career, Mr. Schroth has represented individuals, families, small businesses, large companies, municipalities, and boards of education in hundreds of cases throughout Ohio. Mr. Schroth is sensitive to his clients' concerns and counsels with them to achieve the best possible outcome. He believes in finding cost-effective and cooperative solutions to complex problems. However, he also recognizes that some legal issues can only be resolved through litigation. Mr. Schroth has a wealth of experience advocating for his clients in various settings. He has successfully argued cases before trial courts and appellate courts throughout Ohio, as well as the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Industrial Commission of Ohio, the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Commission, local Boards of Revision, and the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. Mr. Schroth also has broad experience assisting his clients put together their estate planning documents, form businesses, buy and sell commercial and residential property, buy and sell businesses, administer probate estates, and prepare all manner of legal contracts. Mr. Schroth is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Lorain County Bar Association. He also serves as a volunteer attorney for Hospice of the Western Reserve. Mr. Schroth obtained a B.A. from Brigham Young University and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. A graduate of Westlake High School, he resides with his wife and three sons in Avon, Ohio. His office is located in the historic Clifton House in Avon, which was built in 1834.
