Joseph’s path to criminal defense was shaped early in his legal career through extensive, hands-on courtroom experience. While completing his law degree, he served as a certified law clerk at Gilroy Napoli Short, where he worked on cases throughout Oregon and gained practical insight into courtroom procedures, trial strategy, and client advocacy. This early exposure allowed him to develop a strong foundation in criminal law and a detailed understanding of how the justice system operates. Joseph further strengthened his legal skills through his clerkship with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, where he refined his analytical abilities and gained valuable perspective on case evaluation and prosecution strategies. This balanced experience enables him to anticipate challenges and craft thoughtful, effective defense approaches for his clients. In his practice as a criminal defense attorney, Joseph is deeply committed to protecting his clients’ rights and ensuring they are heard at every stage of the legal process. Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree in Government with an emphasis in Legal Studies from Grand Canyon University and received his Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law. Outside the office, Joseph maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys training for triathlons, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife and their goldendoodle.
