Thomas Martin Jr. (Retired)

Thomas Martin, Jr. born in 1957, is a native of Washington State. Tom resides in Clark County, Washington, on the East Fork of the Lewis River. His parents and five brothers and sisters all live in Clark County, as well as his daughter who was born in 1996. A 1975 graduate of BattleGround High School, Mr. Martin received a Bachelor of Science degree, with Honors, from Portland State University in 1981. His major area of study as an undergraduate was United States history. He graduated from Willamette University’s College of Law in 1984, and he was admitted to legal practice in Oregon and Washington the same year. He served as general counsel to a small insurance company in Albany, Oregon, until 1986 when he joined forces with his law school classmate, Thomas Elliott, and opened a law office in Tualatin. Mr. Martin’s law practice emphasizes personal injury, employment and civil litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Tom is an avid steelhead fisherman, backpacker and wilderness adventurer. A lifetime member of the Sierra Club, he is also a member of numerous conservation organizations, including the National Parks Conservation Association, the National Wildlife Federation and the Wilderness Society.
