B. Craig Black

B. Craig Black is a partner in Chartwell’s Harrisburg office. Prior to joining Chartwell Law Offices, LLP in October, 2007, Craig was a shareholder with McKissock and Hoffman, P.C. Craig joined McKissock and Hoffman in November 1993, establishing a full time presence for the firm in the Capitol Region. He became a shareholder in 1997 and managed the firm’s divergent litigation practice throughout central Pennsylvania. During his tenure with McKissock and Hoffman, he successfully and routinely tried a variety of complex civil actions to verdict in courts throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. He has argued dozens of matters before the Pennsylvania Superior and Commonwealth Courts and has successfully obtained judgment in the matters that he was privileged to present before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. The Supreme Court published its Opinions in these matters. Prior to his affiliation with McKissock & Hoffman, Craig served as Chief Counsel of the Medical Professional Liability Catastrophe Loss Fund of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He joined the Fund as an Assistant Counsel in 1990. The Medical Professional Liability Catastrophe Loss Fund was the predecessor to the current Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Fund (MCare Fund).
