O. Daniel Ansa

Mr. Ansa has a diversified civil trial practice, with a particular emphasis on transportation, products liability, commercial disputes and tort litigation. He has also handled employment discrimination litigation, environmental abatement actions, class actions, construction disputes and mass tort. The majority of his practice involves the representation of Fortune 500 and international companies involved in transportation, products liability, catastrophic personal injury and property tort matters and commercial litigation. He is frequently retained to assume lead role in high exposure cases on the eve of trial. He serves as national coordinating counsel for an international package delivery company. As national counsel, he actively litigates cases venued throughout the United States, manages a network of local counsel and oversees a rapid response team consisting of attorneys and retained consultants whose mission is to triage and manage catastrophic events. He also serves as regional counsel for an international manufacturer of vertical transportation equipment. He has defended the design and manufacture of many products produced by his clients including: automobiles, tractors, trains, elevators, escalators, power walks, motorcycles, personal water craft, ATVs, vibratory compactors, heavy and light industrial vehicles, construction equipment, mining equipment, power tools, milling machinery, steel fabricating systems and equipment, firearms, anti-lock braking and conventional braking systems, tractor-trailer air brake systems, seat belt assemblies, air bags, flex fans, consumer products, snow throwers, bicycles, helmets, locks, door closers, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical controls, press machines, paper mill machines, boilers, fire cause and origin cases, chemicals, and multiple chemical sensitivity cases. As an associate, he served as a member of a national trial team for an automotive component manufacturer. Mr. Ansa is a graduate of the Naval Justice School and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He held a reserve billet in the office of the Chief Defense Counsel of the Marine Corps, was a member of the Marine Corps Trial Advocacy Team and lectured nationally and internationally on trial practice. Mr. Ansa has lectured in Europe, Africa and Asia as an adjunct faculty member of the Defense Institute for International Legal Studies. He has served as a guest lecturer on products liability at the Wharton School and on trial practice at Villanova University, has conducted in-house seminars for corporate legal departments and has participated in panel discussions at client legal symposiums. He has also written extensively on products liability, rules of evidence and construction disputes.
