Edgardo L. Rodriguez

Edgardo L. Rodriguez-LaFontaine joined the firm's Labor and Employment Group as an associate in 2022. Mr. Rodriguez's practice is focused on litigation, counseling, and advice on Labor and Employment matters. Mr. Rodriguez also assists the Litigation and Trial Practice Group in civil and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Rodriguez represents employers and individuals (management) before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Puerto Rico Anti-discrimination Unit (PR-ADU), the Puerto Rico Department of Labor (PR-DOL), the Office of Mediation and Adjudication, the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Administration (PR-OSHA), the Industrial Commission and other administrative agencies. Prior to joining Goldman Antonetti & Cordova, Mr. Rodriguez worked as a Legal and Compliance Consultant for Chubb Insurance and, later, as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm in San Juan. During that time, Mr. Rodriguez acquired relevant experience in regulatory compliance, insurance law, surety bonds, civil litigation, and commercial litigation. While in law school, Mr. Rodriguez served as Editor for the University of Puerto Rico Law Review and as a team leader of the Pro Bono Program "Enlace con Escuelas Públicas". In addition, Mr. Rodriguez was a summer associate at another law firm in San Juan and provided consulting services to Chubb's Legal and Compliance divisions for Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Mr. Rodriguez holds a Juris Doctor law degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Puerto Rico, both with magna cum laude distinctions.
