John W. Mahoney

John W. Mahoney handles personal injury cases, as well as general civil litigation claims, including toxic tort, products liability, asbestos and premises liability. John earned his Juris Doctorate at Northeastern University School of Law in 2001. He received a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Providence College in 1996. John has spent his entire legal career with Asquith & Mahoney, P.C. While in law school, John was a legal intern for Rhode Island Legal Services and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Rhode Island. John also served as a Rule 9 student attorney for the Office of the Attorney General, State of Rhode Island, Juvenile Prosecution Unit. John is admitted to practice before the Rhode Island State Courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. John received the “AV Preeminent Rating” by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. In 2013 and 2014, John was named a Rhode Island Rising Star, by the publisher of Super Lawyers, recognizing him as an outstanding young attorney in the Rhode Island legal community. John has also been rated “Superb”, the highest possible rating, and received the “Client’s Choice Award” from Avvo. John also received the “Excellence in Mentoring Award” in 2009 from The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership for his work with the San Miguel School located in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to his enrollment in law school, John worked as a landscaper throughout high school, college and after graduation. John was born and raised in Rhode Island.
