Lauren V. Iannelli

MANAGING LITIGATION ATTORNEY Attorney Lauren V. Iannelli is the Managing Litigation Attorney at Inman & Tourgee. She joined Inman & Tourgee in 2019 as an accomplished trial attorney coming from the RI Department of Attorney General and has been practicing law since 2012. Attorney Iannelli’s practice areas include criminal defense and personal injury litigation. CRIMINAL DEFENSE Attorney Iannelli has defended numerous cases from traffic citations to capital offenses. She also handles juvenile delinquent and wayward criminal offenses, including waivers of jurisdiction for juveniles charged with the most serious of criminal offenses. Additionally, she has extensive experience with drunk driving cases and has presented legal education classes to other lawyers on the topic and taught at various police academies throughout the State. While at Inman & Tourgee, she was successful in defending a client charged with DUI, with excessive blood alcohol readings, which resulted in a not guilty verdict after trial. Ms. Iannelli also has extensive training and knowledge of different areas of forensic science as they relate to criminal cases, including latent prints, firearms toolmark identification, hair analysis, and DNA. While at Inman & Tourgee, Attorney Iannelli has successfully defended multiple clients accused of sexual assault child molestation. Among her results are two not guilty verdicts after a jury trial for one client. LITIGATION EXPERIENCE Attorney Iannelli is an experienced trial attorney, having handled 19 jury trials and countless bench trials, bail hearings, and juvenile waiver hearings, as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. Currently, Attorney Iannelli is Assistant Solicitor for the City of Cranston and handles the criminal prosecution for the city. Further, she had been hired by West Warwick, Lincoln, Smithfield, North Smithfield, and the RI Department of Health to litigate on their behalf. FORMER STATE PROSECUTOR During her time as a prosecutor, she handled hundreds of cases in District Court, Family Court, Superior Court, RI Traffic Tribunal, including high profile gun cases, assaults, murders, and cold cases.
