Sam Matson

Sam was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He attended the University of South Dakota for his undergraduate studies. He majored in political science and criminal justice, graduating magna cum laude in 2019. Sam later attended the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2022. While at law school, Sam was a member of Delta Theta Pi and played an active role in the school's increase admission numbers by serving as an ambassador for the law school. Sam has grown to enjoy many hobbies and activities the city and state have to offer. These include exploring new restaurants, attending live events and concerts, golfing, watching sports, and reading. Sam joined HPS in 2022 and is admitted to practice law in the State of South Dakota. As a lifelong South Dakotan, Sam has a deep passion for the law in our state and remains eager to expand his knowledge of it.
