Joy Davis Collier

Joy Davis Collier was born in Nashville in 1968 and grew up in the Middle Tennessee area. After graduating from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1990 with a BS in Business Administration, she worked in business for several years before deciding to embark on a career in Law. She received her J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 2000 and has been practicing at the state and federal levels in the mid-state area since 2001. She has represented hundreds of family law clients and focuses her practice on this area of the law. Joy is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association and American Bar Association. She was a Judicial Law Clerk in the Twenty-first Judicial District in Tennessee from 2000-2001; Vice President of the Williamson County Bar Association 2002-2003; President of the Williamson County Bar Association 2003-2004; John Marshall American Inns of Court 2001-2004. Joy is proud to be an aggressive advocate for all of her clients and strives to attain the best possible result in every case. Joy enjoys many referrals from current and former clients and is proud to say that she frequently receives referrals from the ex-spouses of former clients, who faced her in litigation and found her to be aggressive and effective advocate for her client. In her spare time, Joy is an avid college and professional sports fan and animal lover. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Joe, and their six rescued cats. She volunteers her time to rescuing and placing homeless animals and is proud of the hundreds of healthy, spayed or neutered cats and dogs that she has saved over the years and placed in loving permanent homes.
