About Laura Hash

Laura Hash joined Trammell, Adkins, & Ward as an associate attorney (or special counsel) in June 2021. Her practice is focused primarily on representing insureds and insurance companies in a wide variety of litigation, including defense litigation involving automobile accidents; insurance and bad faith litigation; and other claims such as homeowners', fire and casualty, premises liability, and general liability. She regularly represents clients in mediation, motion hearings, judicial settlement conferences, depositions, and in other pre- and post-trial matters. In addition, she represents clients in family law matters including dependency and neglect, severe abuse, custody, termination of parental rights, adoption, post-adoption contracts, and conservatorships. Prior to joining Trammell, Adkins, & Ward, Laura worked for the Social Security Administration as a decision writer for three years. She also ran a solo law practice for over ten years, primarily representing clients in matters involving allegations of dependency and neglect, termination of parental rights, adoption, and conservatorships. From 2011 to 2016, Laura worked as both an administrator and faculty member for the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law. She served the inaugural Dean of Students and Externship Director at LMU and taught substantive courses on multiple family law topics, professional responsibility, and a variety of legal writing courses. Laura is a member of the Tennessee and Mississippi Bar Associations. She has taught a variety of family law Continuing Legal Education courses, primarily on juvenile law related matters. She has published multiple articles in DICTA, providing practice advice for lawyers representing clients in parental termination cases and a full-length article in the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, & Social Justice on the issue of juvenile appeals. In addition, she co-authored a full-length article in the Journal of Legal Medicine on the legal issues surrounding in vitro fertilization. Laura and her twin daughters live in Clinton, Tennessee.
