Brian S. Engel

Brian Engel is Partner in the Litigation Department. He has expertise in complex commercial and energy litigation in both state and federal courts. His experience ranges from multi-state class action litigation over oil and gas production to complex litigation in bankruptcy cases. Brian attended Rutgers University earning a Bachelor of Science in 1985. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston, cum laude, in 1993. He is licensed with the State Bar of Texas, and is licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. He is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Travis County Bar Association and Texas State Bar Association. Brian was the Associate Editor for the Houston Law Review. He is also a participant author and speaker in continuing legal education courses.
