After nearly 30 years defending Central Texans charged with crimes ranging from DWI to murder in state and federal court as a solo practitioner, Dan joined the fast-growing team at Michael & Associates as a Senior Trial Attorney in 2025. A 1995 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, he has been Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2004. He is a former president of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Criminal Justice Section of the Austin Bar Association, and the Austin Chapter President of the Federal Bar Association.
